Primary Source Websites

Finding primary sources isn't difficult if you know where to look.  Start with well-known sites.

  • Federal and state government websites have historical information and collections accessible to the public.
  • Check the Washington County Free Library databases (Biography Reference Center and more)
  • Universities, colleges, museums, and historical societies are also great places to research.

Be a Research Detective
