How do your students select books to read? Do they judge the book by its cover? Do they get recommendations from friends? Do they check popular book lists? Perhaps they watch the movie and then decide to read the book.
Book trailers combine the best of these options with brief videos which act much like popular movie trailers. In a video of about 2-3 minutes long, students are introduced to a book’s basic storyline with photographs, video elements, and narration. Similar to a movie trailer, book trailers highlight key scenes and provide enough information to help students select the best books to meet their interests.
